A project workflow for Dubai design studios
Organize models, finish options, material schedules and presentation visuals around one project, with clear local supplier checks.

Make the project the unit of work
When model files, supplier PDFs and renders live in unrelated folders, a small change can leave the presentation and schedule describing different designs. Start with one project and use consistent names for the model version, option and deliverable.
A useful sequence
Begin with the model, then compare material options, review the material schedule and prepare presentation visuals. Each step should answer a different question: what is being designed, which finish is proposed, what needs specifying, and how will the decision be communicated?
Check local supply early
For finishes intended for a UAE project, record the supplier serving the project, the product code and the date you checked availability. Confirm whether a quote is in USD or AED, the quantity basis and what it includes. Delivery, installation and tax can change the comparison. Keep the source document with the choice.
Keep responsibilities explicit
Assign someone to verify product information and someone to review the issued package. Model preparation, visualization and specification are related tasks but have different verification needs. Client approvals are not part of this release of the workflow.
Prepare a compact handoff
An early design handoff can contain a saved model version, named finish option, reviewed material schedule and selected visuals. List unresolved choices rather than implying the package is complete. Check contractual and authority submission requirements separately for the actual project.
How to evaluate the software
Try one real room or a small part of a project. Measure the time needed to reopen it, select an object, change a finish, export the schedule and find the selected visual again. Judge whether the team can understand the next step without relying on the person who created the file.
