AI visuals for architecture: a review checklist
Check geometry, materials, scale and missing details before using an AI-assisted architectural image in a client presentation.

Use generated images to explore and communicate
AI-assisted visuals can make an early design conversation easier, but a persuasive image can also hide an incorrect opening, floor level or material junction. Review the generated image against the actual model or drawing before you show it as a proposed design.
Keep a reference view
Capture the source model at a deliberate camera position. Preserve that reference alongside the generated result. A comparison is more useful when both views share the same angle and crop. If the scene changes substantially, create another reference instead of treating the change as a cosmetic edit.
Review the geometry first
Count doors and windows. Compare the roof line, slab edges, columns, wall openings and stair direction. Check the relationship between furniture and circulation routes. Image generation can invent plausible details; a realistic texture does not prove that the geometry is correct.
Then check materials and scale
Confirm that a finish belongs on the right surface and that repeated patterns have plausible scale. Compare the image to the finish option recorded in the project. Watch for reflective surfaces behaving like openings, or glass becoming a solid wall. Use real product information when a material choice affects the specification.
Separate an impression from a technical deliverable
Label concept visuals so the recipient understands their purpose. Use the model, measured drawings and reviewed specifications for dimensions and procurement decisions. A render is not evidence of authority approval, structural feasibility, code compliance or supplier availability.
Keep what you issue
Save the selected output to the project and preserve the associated model version, finish option and source reference. Record any remaining uncertainties in the presentation. That makes the next revision easier to compare and reduces the risk of an attractive but obsolete image being reused.
